Email address (quiz opt-in)

When you complete our hair loss quiz and choose to receive your personalized treatment plan, we collect your email address. Providing your email is optional — you can view your results without submitting it. We use this address to send you the treatment plan and, with your ongoing consent, relevant updates about hair loss research and treatments.

Usage analytics (PostHog)

We use PostHog to collect anonymized analytics about how visitors use the site — page views, quiz completion rates, scroll depth, and click events. PostHog may use cookies or local storage to distinguish visits. No personally identifiable information (name, email, IP address in identifiable form) is stored in PostHog unless you submit your email through the quiz, at which point your email is associated with your quiz result for segmentation purposes.

Affiliate click tracking

When you click an affiliate link to one of our partners (Hims, Keeps, Ro, Nutrafol, Viviscal, Amazon), that partner's tracking technology records the click to attribute any resulting purchase to our affiliate account. The data collected at that point is governed by the partner's own privacy policy.

Cookies and local storage

We use browser local storage to remember your quiz result so returning visitors do not have to retake the quiz. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising. PostHog may set cookies or use local storage for session analytics as described above.

3. How We Use Your Data

• Email: To send you the personalized treatment plan you requested, and — with your continued consent — relevant newsletters about hair loss treatments. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email we send.
• Analytics: To understand which content is helpful, identify broken flows, and improve the site. Data is aggregated and not used for advertising.
• Quiz result (local storage): To personalize your return visit experience by pre-loading the content category relevant to your hair loss type. Cleared when you clear your browser data.

We do not sell your personal data to any third party.

5. Cookie Policy

We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. The cookies and storage mechanisms we use are:

• PostHog analytics cookie / local storage: Set by PostHog to distinguish unique visits and sessions for analytics. No personal data is stored unless you provide your email via the quiz.
• Quiz result (local storage): Stores your hair loss type so we can personalize your return visit. Not a cookie — stored only in your browser and never transmitted to our servers on its own.

You can clear cookies and local storage at any time through your browser settings. Doing so will remove your saved quiz result and PostHog session data.

6. Data Retention

Email addresses submitted via the quiz are stored in ConvertKit for as long as you remain subscribed. You may unsubscribe at any time via any email we send, which permanently removes your address from our mailing list. To request deletion of all data associated with your email, contact us directly.

Analytics data in PostHog is retained according to PostHog's standard retention policy (currently 7 years for event data on paid plans). Anonymized aggregate statistics may be retained indefinitely.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your data (right to be forgotten).
